We’ve decided to add a new space to our online presence to enable us to share more detailed guides, insights and information.
You can view our current astronomy programme, information on our beginners course and contact us with questions. Also be sure to follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with events and goings on at the society.

Hi Shaun, we are currently using two sites for meetings as we are in transition; one in the centre of town and one a couple of miles away in Lockwood.
If you wish to become a member, please complete the form on our Contact page, we’ll then be in touch to sort this for you.
Were do you meet up and is there a cost
Hi Colin, our lectures and meetings are held over two sites currently; in the centre of town and in Lockwood. Our observing sessions are held in a number of locations.
The membership plans can be found on the membership page. I hope that helps.
Hello, I have bought a. Skywatcher BK 709 EQ1 telescope and I am struggling to set it up. Is there anyone from the society who is able to set it up for me. Obviously I will pay for their services.
Nigel
Hi Nigel,
Given the current circumstances, we’re unable to meet in person. We would be glad to help (and no fee required). Please follow our Facebook page and this site where we will announce when our meetings will resume. Once we get started again, pop along to one of our Tuesday Social gatherings and one of the team will be more than happy to help you.
