Rosette Nebula in Monoceros the Unicorn

This is an image of the constellation of Monoceros - situated between Canis Minor [Procyon] and Orion [Betelgeux].
The image was taken with a Canon 60Da, 100mm lens at f2.5 at 2000ASA and a 3 minute exposure using the Society's AstroTrak, from Kielder Forest.
The image has been lightly processed using Canon DPP
The bright cluster of stars near the centre of the image is the Christmas Tree cluster - a small group of colourful stars in the shape of a Christmas Tree
