The North America Nebula - and a lot more

Near the 'tail' of Cygnus is its brightest star - Deneb - the brightest star near the top of this image
Around Deneb is a large area of red nebulosity, which is known as the North America Nebula - as a result of its likeness to the continent of North America - and the Pelican Nebula - as is resembles a Pelican.
Here you can see the two - along with a number of other nebula in the same region of space. This includes NGC 6910 near the right hand side of this image
The field of view is about 13 degrees by 8 degrees.
The image was taken with a Canon 60Da on the Society's AstroTrak mount and was taken on Saturday 10th August at around 11pm
The original image was lightly processed in AstroArt v5 to adjust the sky background to a more natural hue
A star chart of this region will allow you to pick out the many details of this image.
